GIRLS DAY OUT

For quite some time now I have wanting to check out the Olson Mansion in our town. We stopped by Zoe's house to pay back the money I owed Shelly. We asked Zoe if she wanted to join us as she has been wanting some alone time with Mimi and without their other friends around.

Sad to say, the Olson Mansion in my humble opinion is not all that it was and is hyped up to be. I thought that it would be like those historical houses one would see with all of the antique furniture. NOT. The only thing historical about it is the house itself. The outside pool and juccuzi was pretty nice though. The pond for fishing is smaller than my own backyard. I don't think that I will have a huge desire to go back again except for maybe the swimming next year.

When all was said and done there, the girls decided that they wanted to stop by McDonald's to play in the playset which was fine with me otherwise they would be raising a ruckus at my house. While there another mom from Mimi and Zoe's school - Michelle came in with her two sets of twins, Kate and Ethan (classmates) and their younger brother/sister, Owen and Avery. They all had a great time together till it was time to go home. Tomorrow morning we will go to see Emma and Elsie perform their gymnastic abilities together with their other team-mates at our local farmers market.

Red Robins

This is a must have when going to Red Robins. Not one but two bowls of
mac'n'cheese plus the mandarin oranges.

THE PIANO PLAYERS

Our days are usually jammed packed with stuff to do. Today was no different. However we do take time out to enjoy ourselves. This aftertoon Erin was available for a short get together with Mimi. As you know, Mimi has been taking lessons for several months now but what you don't know is that for the past couple of weeks, Janet has been giving private lessons to Erin at home. Janet was a piano teacher at one time before having babies. She does play for private parties at this time. So I thought that it would be a great idea if the girls played for each other. So they did.

By 3:30 pm it was time for Erin to go with her mom to swim lessons. Even though for the most part Mimi has stopped taking naps, there are occassions when I can tell she is really tired. I cannot use the "n-a-p" word anymore cuz then she will get irritated and say "N-O mom! Do you know what that means?!?! It means NO! I'm NOT TIRED!" However when I tell her to lie down she says "OK" then proceeds to go lie down on her bed and eventually fall asleep. Go figure. So that's what happened this afternoon before her gymnastic class this evening. She sang "The Girls of Rock and Rollll-ugh (from Alvin and the Chipmunks around the world cartoon) to herself and soon she was asleep for the next 2 hours.

ONE COOL CHICK

BACK AND FRONT

First you see the back end and now the front. This is a picture of Ben (6), big brother David and Mimi (5). At first we thought that we would be the only family there with a kid and so did Ben's family. We were sure happy that Ben came along with his family. The kids just loved having big brother David there too. Not sure if David will be coming this year to our camping get together but I heard it through the grapevine that Ben will be there. That will sure make Mimi happy.

LAST YEAR CAMPING TRIP

While looking at our friend Tom's facebook last night, I found that he had posted quite a bit of pictures of our camping trip last year at Ohanapecosh which is at Mt. Rainier. I must ask him for a copy of all his pictures as they came out grrrrreat! Plus the fact that we had the camera but NO MEMORY CHIP!

KARATE CLASS

Soon as all of the shopping was done, we had just enough time to grab a quick bite to eat at Starbucks and head to karate lessons at the lake. By the time we got home it was already 7:00 in the evening. There was still dinner to put on the table and some light housekeeping to do. In the meantime old Butch who has been cooped up all day wanted someone to play with him. I tell you, it is never ending around here. Never dull either. Now at 11:10 pm, dad and the kid are in bed and I am able to have some time to myself. This is usually the time I have to myself and when the house is quiet.
