MEETING UP WITH OLD FRIENDS

It seems that no matter where we go, we always experience a nice surprise. After the ice skating, we all went outside and lo and behold, who do we see? None other than Olivia and Jack. Olivia and Jack live in our neighborhood. Last year all three were in the same kindergarten class and this year Olivia and Blake are in the same class. Tomorrow afternoon we will all be going over to Olivia's house for her 7th birthday party. What a great day this is turning out to be. Of course Mimi and Blake had to do one more Carousel ride before going back to Westlake Center for a sushi dinner for Mimi and I. Blake had the good old stand-by of McDonald's along with Sara and her family. We met up with Tasha (Sara's big sis) at Westlake. Tasha is now going to Cornish University in downtown Seattle and like any college student she comes home on the weekends to do laundry at mom's house.

ICE SKATING

When the kids had enough of the museum, we all headed over to the ice rink where they could go skating. I just love the Seattle Center. There is so much for the kids and kids at heart to do but not enough time. Darn it!

SUSHI ANYONE?????

A WHALE OF A TALE

CHILDREN'S MUSEUM

When lunch was over, it was time to hop onto the monorail and head over to the Children Museum where they could burn off a whole lot more energy.

AT THE WESTLAKE CENTER

Mimi loves, loves, loves the Carousel rides and so of course we had to go for a spin. Plus it was for a good cause. It is sponsored by The Tree house which is a non-profit organization that provides a reading program and tutoring for underprivileged/foster kids.

THE LIGHT RAIL

This was Sara's first time on the light rail. As for me, I really like it because for about the same about of money that it cost to buy our round trip tickets is the same price as I would have to pay for parking in downtown Seattle and it is way much less of a hassle. I also like it because you do not have to deal with the traffic at any given time. Sometime by the end of this month the light rail will extend into the Sea - Tac airport. How cool is that?
