HARRY POTTER WII

I bought dad a Harry Potter Wii game for our anniversary this year. Yesterday I caught dad trying it out and later on I found Mimi making a character for Allyn. This is not the finished product though. At least he will be ready by the nextime they come for a visit.

BIRTHDAY PARTY

Today was Rianna's 3rd birthday party and we were only able to catch the tail end of it. Then when it was finished (around 2:00) Mimi went over to Blake's for a while. In the meantime dad and I went down to Costco to get my early Christmas present. It is a mini foosball table where the tabletop can be removed in order to play foosball or the top can be inverted to play cards. Then when not playing any games the tabletop becomes a nice coffeetable. Our first coffetable after 14 years of marriage. I love my husband with all of my heart.

On our way home we stoppedy by Blake's house and Keri had all of the kids helping her rake up the leaves in her front yard. We now have a whole bunch of them. Then around 4:30 I called for Mimi to come home. I could hear Blake whine in the background. Keri's says that I ruined their lives by calling Mimi home. When I asked Mimi what she did at Blake's, she looks at me wide eyed like duh mom "I played the WHOLE TIME WITH BAILEY! Blake did not get a chance to play with me!" Hence the whinning from Blake. Oh well que sera sera. I'm sure the boy will survive.

FLY ME TO THE MOON

Around 8:30 pm the streets were almost quiet. We had spent about 2 hours trick or treating. Mimi did come back with some candy but not as much as her friends and that is okey dokey with us. Fortunately she is still not crazy about candy. She does however like tootsie rolls or ring pops and that's about it. She just has more fun being out there with her friends.

When we got home it was time to just relax with a good movie and that is just what we did.

POWER RANGER STRIKES AGAIN

I think that this will be the absolute last time Mimi will be a Power Ranger. She keeps changing her mind about next year. One minute she wants to be a witch, the next minute she wants to be a black cat. I guess that is a woman's perogitive though to change her mind when she sees fit.

I put out a bowl of candy last night. There was two boxes of Hershey's chocolate bars, two boxes of fun dippers, about 10 bags of microwave popcorn. As soon as I put them on the porch I told dad to let's go with Mimi but of course he is worse than any kid in a candy shop. He was already outside the door leaving me to take care of everything like setting the alarm, making sure that Mimi has her lights on, putting the leash on Butch, make sure my costume was on (witch). In the meantime we ran out of candy and I told him not to answer the door and of course he did. He said that he wanted to see if it was anyone we knew. Does not matter that we were going to see our friends on the street anyways.

There I was with an empty candy bowl, no candy and kids at the door that dad had opened. So I did the next best thing. Dipped into our own candy bowl that was filled with Konpeito (Japanese coffee candy), Smarties and Ricola cough drops and put those into the bowl of candy to give out and would you believe that was bowl was empty when we came home from trick or treating?! Even the Ricola was gone!

Mimi saw all of her friends on the street. She stuck with Alex till he went home, then we saw Zoe and her family then walked home with them.

At one point we stopped by one house where they had a blow up of a ghost playing the organ and two other ghosts dancing. Sort of what you see in Disney's Haunted Mansion in the dining hall where they have all of the ghosts dancing (my favorite part of the ride). Butch saw this particular blow up and thought it was real so he decided to bark at it. It was quite funny to see him do this. Even ole' Butch saw his friend Teddy (Pomeranian) trick or treating.
