BABY HORSES
After the library and before lunch at Costco, I took the girls to see a couple baby horses that are not far from the library. Of course Halliwell who has had previous lessons in horseback riding gave Mimi and Zoe a lesson all about horses. It is a lot of fun just listening in on their conversations
STORYTELLING TIME
I tell you, our community is smaller than I originally thought. This morning Erin came to the library with her mom Janet and brothers Liam and Patrick. I brought Mimi and her friends Halliwell and Zoe. The girls had wanted to go there for the storytelling. The librarian there is such a good storyteller. I really like her a lot. We no sooner arrived there was when we saw Mimi's other friend Natalie. Every Friday Natalie's grandma Louella and I get together. Mimi introduced Natalie to all of her other friends and unbeknownst to me is the fact that Natalie is Liam's (Erin's brother) pre-school classmate. Turns out that Janet and Lisa (the moms) know each other too! What a nice surprise.
I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM, FOR ICE CREAM!!!
SEAFOOD
By the time the cruise was over, Mimi was needless to say quite famished. Of course Seattle has just about the best seafood around and on a gorgeous day like today we just had to order some fish 'n' chips for mom and steamed clams for dad and now Mimi as she loves them as much as dad does. Not only does one order seafood and sit outside on the pier to eat them, one must order great tasting beer to go with the fish 'n' chips and clams. In Mimi's case, her drink of choice is Sprite.
HARBOR CRUISE
When we were done with the Aquarium, Mimi, dad and myself walked a couple of blocks to Starbucks and picked up a little snack before boarding "The Argosy" for a harbor cruise. The ocean air must have been getting to Mimi and dad as they were goofing off with the apple snacks. Found out a bit of "useless knowledge" for all of you coffe lovers. Within a 5 mile radius in downtown Seattle, how many Starbucks are there????? Some people guessed 10, 20, 50, 60 and they were all WRONG. Tired of guessing???? There are exactly.............108! That is not to mention all of the other coffee places such as Tully's, Seattle's Best and a gazillion mom and pop places. I guess one could say that we may be the coffee capital of the world.
SEATTLE AQUARIUM
Since we finished our fingerprints early than expected, I suggested that we go down to the Aquarium down by the pier as Mimi has yet to visit there. So we did. It was quite fun. Mimi really did have a good time looking at all of the ocean life and they had a couple of exhibits where the kids could actually have a "hands on" experience.
