MIMI AND FRIENDS
While we were at the FCC celebration, we met up with our good friend Rhonda and her family. Pictured are Mimi, Emma (tall girl in green dress), Elsie (small girl in green dress who is also Emma's sister), their cousin Katie. Although Emma and Elsie live in our community, we don't get the chance to see them much on a personal basis because of our busy schedules, however Mimi, Emma and Elsie belong to the same gymnastic school and they see each other more often there at the school. Emma and Elsie are now on the gymanstic team. Mimi tried out last year but did not make the cut. Maybe she will this year. Who knows??? It's not really a big deal to us whether or not she is on the team. She is just having fun running around the gym. Next year we will be going to gymnastic classes after school since she will be in school full day. Now we can get by with going in the morning before school starts.
MORE CHINESE NEW YEAR FUN
This morning we all headed over to the middle school in Seattle to participate in FCC 's (families with children from China) New Year celebration. We only stayed long enough for me to do a little shopping and watch the show as we had other plans for the afternoon. These little tykes are from the "Panda Institute".
LION DANCE
After finishing dinner we all headed out to the parking lot to watch the entertainment. Man was it cold outside! Could not get back inside fast enough to suit me.
GUNG HAY FAT CHOY AGAIN
AN "AMAZING" DAY
This morning Mimi and dad went to Snoqualmie for ski lessons. While Mimi was in taking a class, dad and several other instructors hit the slopes. Dad says that when he got back to pick up Mimi, she blurted out "Dad! I did an amzing job!!!" According to dad Mimi is doing really good at what they call the "pizza" stance, and she learned how to make the turns today. Also the kids got to go up on the lifts. Dad is seriously considering being an instructor again. Doesn't pay anything but there are a little perks to it such as free ski lift tickets which go for about $50.00 a pop and since he is up there anyhow skiing while Mimi's in school, it makes perfect sense to us.
