ROLLING IN THE HAY

Although the kids did everything from riding the roller coaster, ponies, barrel twister, ferris wheel, carousel, to the train ride. Then there was the rock climbing. This was and still is Mimi ablsolute favorite..........playing in the hay maze. That girl could stay there for hours on end if we let her.
She has already made mention that she wants to go back there again to get her pumpkins for Halloween.

SIGN LANGUAGE

As you can see, Nathan is hearing impaired so he wears hearing aids. For the most part he and Mimi get along really well. However due to the "langage barrier" Mimi says that playing with him is a bit hard because he cannot speak and she does not know much sign language although she is learning some from Lisa (Nathan's mom). However Nathan can read as we discovered yesterday. So both Mimi and I decided that the next time we get together she will write on her dry eraser board what she wants to say to him. Today dad told me that Nathan's parents are looking into getting him some cochlear implants. I think that would be so cool. This little boy has been through sooooo much in his short life that it is so wonderful to just see him blossom and grow from the first time we met him about 6 months ago.

RIDE'EM COWGIRL!!!

EMILY AND MIMI

This is Nathan's little sister Emily. She is 19 months old and sooooo reminds of Mimi at that age. Mimi was 19 months when we were in China to receive her and Emily looks so much like Mimi back then. Emily has just as much energy as Mimi did and still does. Emily likes to climb everything too just like Mimi. Most of all she loved the rides. That little girl is quite daring which is kind of scary.

REMLINGER FARMS

It's a place where a kid can be a kid. So far this year Mimi has been there twice. Once with Emma and Elsie this past summer and again yesterday with Nathan and his family.

Yesterday was the perfect time to go. The weather was t-shirt weather but cool enough so you don't get over heated. We arrived there about 2 in the afternoon which was great because most of the families with the wee little ones have already gone home so it was not crowded at all. No waiting in lines which is always the best part.

SATURDAY MORNING FUN

The weather was puuurrrrrfect this past Saturday morning. The temperature is starting to cool down a bit, but it was still nice enough for the kids to play outside before Nathan and his family arrived.

Dad fixed the seat on Mimi's new bike by lowering it so she can touch the ground. She's getting better at it but still prefers the scooter.
