Mimi is still having a smidgen of trouble pronouncing a few of her words. Last year a palm tree became "porn tree" when things should have been "3", they became "free".
Tonight while having dinner with grandma and grandpa at our house, mama explained to them about Blake's birthday party last Sunday. In a loud voice Mimi blurts out "and we played pin the tail on the HONKEY!!!" Everyone just busted out laughing so hard.

URGENT CARE
Despite the light rain we have been having yesterday and today, the first signs of Spring is starting to show. Robins singing and flowers blooming. Mama had found some good deals on patio furniture for our backyard. Therefore we spent a very good part of Saturday shopping.
By the time we arrived home (6:45 pm Sat evening) it was time for our friends to come over for a visit. Mimi had a great time playing with Ling Ling. Then it was time for bath and bed (9:00pm). It was then that mama had noticed Mimi kept scratching her pubic area, so she asked Mimi why she kept scratching. Mimi's reply "Because it itches!!!"
Mama being the nurse that she is, checked her over. No redness or foul odor was noted, on the other hand mama thought that it could possibly be a UTI because Mimi said that it burned when she goes pee pee. Mama's motto has always been "Better to be safe than sorry". So while Mimi was bathing, (papa was home with her of course) mama decided to go to Safeway pharmacy to buy the AZO strips to check Mimi for a UTI. Unfortunately they did not carry them. So on to Bartell drug store and it was closed. Since we live out in the "country" there are no other pharmacies!!!
By this time it is going on 10:00pm. Mama then thought to take Mimi to Urgent Care in Covington. Reason for that is because in case it is a UTI there is a 24 hour Walgreen's just a few minutes away. So off we go. We get there to Urgent Care and guess what? IT'S CLOSED!!! What kind of a urgent care is that I ask? The only choices we have at this point is to take her to the Valley Medical Center or Enumclaw Hospital. Valley is 12 miles one way and Enumclaw is about 12 miles the other way. We live in the middle. The security guard at urgent care suggested Enumclaw because it is less busy than Valley.
We arrived at the hospital at about 11:00pm. Enumclaw Hospital is quite small and was not busy when we arrived, but just as luck would have it an emergency arose. A young pregnant woman was somehow hit in the stomach and she was experiencing pain. We lost our place in line which is quite understandable.
By the time Mimi saw the MD it was 12:00 am Sunday morning. The good news is that there is NO UTI!!! The MD said that girls this age (5yo) will sometimes experience itching in the pubic area and the culprit is BUBBLE BATH LIQUID. Therefore no more bubble baths for Mimi. It is something that she dearly loves but oh well Que Sera Sera I say.
We finally arrived home at 1:30 am and all is well in the Putney household again.
