ESTRALITA

Tonight was Mimi's first piano recital at John the Baptist Catholic Church. Erin could not make it but Halliwell and her mom did. Halli presented Mimi with the card and flowers during the intermission. That was soooooo sweet of her. We are so proud of our little girl. She really practiced hard on this piece. It darn near killed me in the process. Mimi really hates to practice anything but she loves the attention it gives her. I was way more nervous than she was. Playing in front of others did not phase her one bit.

PAJAMA DAY

It's sometimes amazing to me how things have changed since I went to elementary school. We never got to do fun things such as wear pj's to school let alone pants and jeans. We were thrilled that the teacher actually let us take our shoes off on the rainy days.
As you may have guessed that although Mimi still a couple of days left till school is out for the summer, her mind has completely gone sayonara for the past week. All she would talk about is the limbo party, pajama day (today), good-bye party and MUD aka move up day (tomorrow) and the family fun center on Wednesday.
Today the kids go a chance to meet their new principal. I have yet to meet him. So far everyone seems pleased with him. They say that he is quite young (42yrs old) and grew up in the Tahoma school system so he is quite well known. We'll see. I really liked Ms. Hard but she is moving up to bigger and better things. She will be missed greatly by everyone.

SUMMERTIME FUN

It's finally hot enough for the kids to have some outdoor fun.

ROCK CLIMBING

It all started when we went to Virginia a couple of years ago and Mari
took the girl rock climbing. I must say that Mimi did real good. Just
like a pro.

HAWAIIAN SHAVED ICE

Strawberry and Mango flavor. Very, very yummmmmmy especially on this
hot day.

MAPLE VALLEY DAY PARADE

Today is absolutely a gorgeous day. Even too hot for my liking.

The parade is an annual event with a carnival a lake wilderness.

We started off about 1 1/2 miles down the road from Lake Wildeness at
Lake Wilderness Elementary school and ended up at the carnival here at
the lake.

Mimi is having a super good time playing with her classmates, big
slide, face painting and even rock climbing. Pictures are forthcoming.

Mimi even shared a secret with us, Blake is out and Caleb is in. She
said that although she she likes Blake, she is in love with Caleb. I
guess that since she's a girl, it's ok to be fickle.

FUTURE GRADUATE

Taken with Daphne's cap and Chloe in the background. Chloe's son also
graduated last night from Green River College.
