CHOWTIME
Mimi must be going through a growth spurt. She is eating like crazy. Not only did she have breakfast, lunch and a snack after school while her friends were here, she also ate dinner at Keri's house while mom went to Costco to do some shopping. Getting ready for our out of town guests and such. When mom went to pick up Mimi, she got kind of hungry since she (mom) didn't have dinner as of yet. Therefore she made a stop at McDonald's for their chicken snack wrap. While mom was giving her order, Mimi pipes up from the back seat "and a happy meal!!!". On the way home, mom could hear Mimi in the back who is sitting with Butch saying "Awsome! I get to eat again! Woo Hoo!" Me thinks Mimi has hollow legs.
EARTHQUAKE
That's what it feels like when Mimi gets together with her friends. While the younger kids (Bailey, Liam and Braden) were over at Keri's, the older kids (Blake, Erin and Zoe) were here. They like to play a lot of "pretend" games. Sometimes they are animals or sometimes it Power Rangers, for a while it was Star Wars. None the less there is a lot of what some people call noise but to mom it is music to the ears. Especially when mom is downstairs and the kids are upstairs, one could hear and feel the house shake, rattle and roll.
PATTERNS

Now a days we do a lot of indoor activities. On Mimi's 3rd birthday she received a box of patterns. At that time it was just a smidgen above her head as to what to do with them but now at 5 years old she knows exactly what to do. Plus at school they have been learning all about patterns and everything has to be a pattern including the way she dresses. Mimi tells me "Mom, today I'm going to dress like a boy (pants and shirt), tommorrow I'm going to dress like a girl (dress or skort) like that ok? It's called a pattern, boy, girl, boy, girl." This particular set came with several wood tiles with the pattern already painted on them and you are to take the smaller pieces and make the same pattern as the tile. After copying some of the patterns, Mimi decided to make her own. Kept her busy for a couple of hours till the Charlie Brown Christmas specials came on tv.

LUNCHEON DATE

As soon as piano lessons were over, mom and Mimi high tailed it for home to get ready for our lunch date with her friends. Mom cooked some mini burgers, mac 'n' cheese, fruit and chips. Mimi had a blast. Pictured here is Blake, Mimi and Alex. They are all in the same class at school. It's so nice to see that Blake has another boy to play with in our neighborhood. The majority of kids in our neighborhood are girls of all ages. As far as the boys go, they are either younger or older than Blake and Alex. Not many 5 year old boys here. Later on, the girls Erin and Halle showed up with their siblings. While the older kids were playing Bailey and Nate (Alex's younger brother) decided to play bumper cars. We sure did have a house full of moms, kids and babies. Mom has a new name now. She is known as "The Camera Lady". Mainly because I am forever taking pictures of the kids almost everyday.

POWER OUTAGE

After having lunch at Blue C Sushi, we went to check out some bedroom furniture for Mimi's room and also check out about buying a new matteress. The one that grandma and grandpa gave us last year is hard as a rock although Mimi has never complained about it. We arrived home just before grandma and grandpa were to arrive for dinner. Dad went out and got some Chinese take out at our local Chinese restaurant. It was pretty good stuff we had to eat. Just after finishing dinner was when the power went out and grandma and grandpa decided to go home for the evening. They are such party animals those youngsters! In the meantime mom and dad went outside to check on what was happening. Mom could hear Mimi crying inside. "Heeeey Butch! Give it back!" Mimi was playing with her trains and every chance he got, the little thief would grab a track and run like heck. After about an hour and a half the power came back on. Don't know what happened though.BLUE C SUSHI
This afternoon after Kosen Rufu Gongyo, Mom had wanted to try out the new sushi joint in South Center Mall called Blue C Sushi. Mom asked Mimi "Mimi, would you like to go have sushi for lunch?" "Oh course!!!" replied the girl. Duh! What was I thinking? Mimi loves sushi. It was pretty good if I do say so myself. Mimi got a kick out of watching the conveyor belt of delicacies go by and being able to pick out the sushi that she wanted to eat. How the prices are determined are by the color on the rim of the plates. So as you pick your plates, you stack them when you are done so that the waitress will know how much to ring up your tab. The stack of plates from left to right are as follows: dad, mom then Mimi and the girl still wanted more to eat believe it or not. How that kid loves Maguro sushi is beyond me.
