More and more it looks like mama is going to be a stay at home mom. She did not get the job at Junior Junction. Whooooppppppeeeeee!!!!!! Mama absolutely loves staying at home and taking care of "my" ahem "our "house and family. Mama is becoming quite the "Martha Stewart".
To help cut down on expenses, Mimi will only be going to school for half day as opposed to full day. That is just fine with us. School is only half day, the rest of the time is daycare and she can play at home for free. Plus there are a million kids in the neighborhood that she plays with. One in particular. Her name is Erin and she is also 4 years old. Erin lives right next door to the neighborhood park and Mimi always check to see if Erin is at home when we go.

DELICIOUS
Delicious is Mimi's new favorite word. She uses it everytime she eats, even when it is just a plain Japaneses rice ball. Yum yum. Mama also found a teriyaki place not too far from us and also very delicious. Best of all, mama found out that our nearby Safeway aka Vons or Pavillions makes fresh sushi on a daily basis! DELICIOUS!!!

HEAT WAVE
I wish I had a dollar for everytime someone told me how much it rains here in Seattle. I'd be a millionaire right now. They made it seem like it rains everyday. Well let me tell you, it is now 10:28pm and 84 degrees outside. Today it was in the triple digits. It seems that we will be having this type of weather till October the neighbors say. YIKES!!!

HEAT WAVE
Evening with Audrey and Company
On July 5th Audrey "Ting Ting" and her parents Andrew and Jennifer were up here in the Seattle area visitng with their family.
They both came from Chengdu in the same group. They were best friends in China and when Audrey came to see us, it was as though they had been together all of their lives.
Mimi's grandparents were able to come and join the fun. After dinner, we took the girls to Mimi's nes school behind our house for
more fun.
It's been at least two years since we all saw each other. Hopefully
it won't be long till the next time

UPDATE
We are still working on our pics to put on the blog. Mama has picked out the pics to use but when it comes to putting them on the blog, things go a little haywire.
Our home is starting to come together. Still a mountain of boxes to go through tho. Today mama and Mimi went around town setting up appointments with the vet and medical doctor. Also went looking at a couple of pre-schools. Kindercare and Junior Junction are about the same in price and are in good neighborhoods and are good schools ect. The difference is Kindercare is a a little ways away and Junior Juction is two blocks away from home. Kindercare has openings now and Junior Junction has openings in September. Decisions, decisions.
A couple of weeks ago, Mimi was complaining about pain in her mouth. Said that her bottom front teeth were hurting. A couple of times she woke up crying during the night because of the pain. Mama checked to see what could be wrong but could find nothing, such as canker sores ect. Therefore she put a smidgen of ambesol on it and decided to have a dentist look at it. The only thing mama could think of was that the baby teeth is starting to get pushed out by the permanent teeth. So off to the dentist we went. There are about4-5 dentists on every block up here, so we picked one that is close to home. They were really nice and Mimi was such a good patient. They now can take digital pictures of your mouth and have it instantly put on the computer. That was way too cool. The dentist could find nothing wrong. In fact the dentist suspects the same as mama. She said that kids will ususally start losing their front teeth around the time they turn 5. Mimi is now 4 1/2. Since the dentist visit, she has not had had anymore discomfort and the best news of all is that there are NO CAVITIES!!! Due to mama's lifetime experience with bad gums and teeth, she is working really, really hard to keep that from happening to Mimi. That's it for now folks. Smooches Dottie
